Porto, September 9, 2024: Groupe GM, one of the world leaders in the production and distribution of cosmetics and hotel amenities, is launching a new amenities line from one of Portugal’s oldest and most cherished brands, Lavanda by Ach. Brito.

The century-old soap and perfumery company, founded in the city of Porto in 1918 by brothers Achilles de Brito and Affonso de Brito, combines the tradition and elegance of products from the past with the best that modernity and technology have to offer.

The design and beauty of the packaging are inseparable from Ach. Brito’s identity. A passion for aesthetics gave rise to an exceptional graphic archive, admired by cosmetics and design enthusiasts, which remains the main source of inspiration for new product launches.

Registered in 1929, the Lavanda line is one of Ach. Brito’s flagship collections. The iconic green bottle of eau de cologne and the unmistakable, typically Mediterranean Lavanda fragrance have made the line timeless and continuously marketed for over 90 years. The Lavanda range is extensive and includes several products, notably soaps, the iconic cologne and shaving cream. With a fresh and revitalising scent, Lavanda is an essential classic of Portuguese soap and perfumery.

The new hotel range, Lavanda by Ach. Brito, with vegan formulation, is fully aligned with Groupe GM’s environmental programme – Care About Earth®. It is presented in high-capacity dispensers, 300 ml Ecopumps, made from 100% recycled plastic with a bio-resin pump, in the Shampoo, Conditioner, Hair & Body Wash and Body Lotion references. A 30 ml plant-based tube with a cap made from 100% recycled plastic, in the Body Lotion reference, is also available. The line is completed by a 20 g RSPO Mixed (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certified soap, wrapped in paper.

The longevity, success and international positioning of Ach. Brito are due to its rich historical heritage, the aesthetics of its packaging, decades of soap production expertise and the quality of its products.
